Alexandria snoozed when her phone began to play ‘Oh no! Not another love song’ which was her ringtone.

Opening her eyes, she glanced at her alarm clock which flashed 02:00. She grabbed her mobile, why couldn’t criminals wait till a decent time to commit something.

Her work partner Levian’s picture flashed on her phone and she answered it.

“Hi Lee, you realize that it is two in the-“

“Alexandria, help me! Help me, Lexi!” His cries interrupted her lecture.

Sitting up bolt in bed, Alexandria demanded to know where he was.

“They…Lexi!” The phone went dead.

“Lee! Lee!” She cried into the phone.

Her cat Mr. Purrs looked at her in concern and nuzzled her with a mew. She stared out of her window trying to calm down.

There was a slight dizzle and she hoped that it didn’t start pouring down before she got to Morayfield Train Station.

As she got dressed, she continued to call Levian’s phone but nothing.

She got to the train station, 10 minutes later. And the train trip seemed to be going in slow motion, Alexandria continued to stare out of the train’s windows as she gave up calling Levian. The fear in his voice was nothing that she had heard before. Levian didn’t get ‘scared’. Alexandria was the only one to call him Lee.

Alexandria hummed to a song on the radio as Levian drove to Gladstone. A rancher had over 40 of his cattle stolen and their crime squad had selected them to go and investigate.

Levian moved to the side of the road as his head was spinning and his stomach was making knots.

“Alex…Lexi, can you drive?” He swallowed before closing his eyes.

“Sure, are you nauseous? Do you  need a bag?” Alexandria asked before she helped him to the passenger seat.

Levian gave a nod and Alexandria handed him a sick bag from her go bag. There was tears in his eyes. Alexandria searched for a nearby hotel in her GPS.

She drove and turned up the air conditioning as Lee began to sweat and he lowered the seat back down.

She looked concerned as she took the highway, the news came on as she headed to the nearest hospital.

‘Breaking news: All hospitals are closed due to unknown reasons.’

“Hades!” Alexandria cursed.

Levian looked at her and he said “Just go to the hotel, I’m fine.”

She sighed as she turned into the highway of ‘Curtis Central Apartments’. The Night Shadows Crime Squad had already made a booking.

As they walked in, they discovered that there was only a queen bed. Levian sat on it and Alexandria felt his head.

“Levian, you are burning up.” She sighed.

“Lexi, my….” He swallowed hard.

“It’s okay Lee. It’s okay.” Alexandria stroked his back as his stomach gave up.

~Back to present day~

Alexandria looked over at the board that announced that her stop would be next in 10 mins. She made sure that everything was ready.

She got up and rushed to where Levian’s house was. A guy in a fancy suit walked up to her as she neared the yellow scene tape.

“Sorry, this is a crime scene.” He said in a thick Wales accent. She pulled out her Night Shadows Crime ID and showed.

“Sorry, you don’t have the authority to be here Miss. Night. This is an AFP investigation.” He said.

“Levian is my partner.” Alexandria protested.

“We know that. Go to your headquarters.” He replied.

“Do you have any clue where he is?” Alexandria asked, her boss Skyler walked up.

“Alexandria, you can’t know that.” Skyler said. “You will be recieving a new partner tomorrow.”

Alexandria stared at Skyler, her green eyes went dark. A nearby plantpot started to smoke, as Alexandria’s fire power began to react to her anger.

“I have one partner and that is Lee.” Her voice was thick with her spanish accent. “I will find him.”

Pieces of plant and pot went flying in directions. Skyler ducked some roots and glared at Alexandria.

“If you go ahead, I’ll fire you.” Skyler warned.

“Fine.” Alexandria muttered as a car made a bang as her anger reached boiling point.

3 years later

“Your partner has arrived. Please don’t scare him away.” Skyler said, standing at Alexandria’s office entry.

She recieved her response and took a step back as Alexandria waved her hand, closing the door. Either Alexandria burnt anyone who tried working with her or simply ignored them.

Her door opened then closed. Alexandria studied her case file that was opened in front of her.

“Lexi.” There was only one person who called her that.

“Please…” Her voice broke. A random rain storm appeared overhead and light rain started.

Levian walked over to her chair and knelt down, he pushed her dark brown- blonde hair from her face. There was tears in her light green eyes.

“I know Lexi.” He pulled her into his arms and she started struggle as a nearby pile of paper began to smolder and embers started.

“Let. Go. Please.” Her voice betrayed, she was scared. Terrified.

“What are you scared of?” Levian asked as he stroked her hair.

No response but Alexandria buried her face into his shoulder.

No response but Alexandria buried her face into his shoulder.

Levian held her close as he held onto him tightly.

“Couldn’t find you!” Her sobs broke his heart. She was his best mate.

Skyler walked in with two mugs of coffee.

“Drink up. Your new assignment is about to start.” Her smile made them nervous.

“How bad is it?” Levian asked. “Gold Coast?”

“You will see.” Skyler said. “Drink up.”

Levian looked at Alexandria who began to drink hers and he did the same.

Then everything went black. When Alexandria woke, she noticed that she was lying in a bed. Sitting up, she found a mirror and looked at it.

Then screamed.

She was sixteen! Horror filled her eyes and the crystal necklace that supplied her powers was gone.

“Skyler, I demand the meaning of this!” Alexandria complained. Then she realized that she was wearing a dress and worse it was pink with lace. Oh the Hades, had Skyler done!

Levian heard Alexandria’s screams and woke up. He saw himself in the mirror and he shook his head.

What was in the coffee…There was no way…His eyes widened. He was sixteen and that meant school.

He went out to see Alexandria and had to bit back a laugh.

“What are you wearing?” He asked.

“Look at what, you are wearing.” Alexandria said.

Levian glanced down to find that he was wearing surfer clothes and made a face.

“Hello young teens.” Skyler said, way too cheerful. “You shall start at Night Shadows Academy.”

“Oh great.” Both muttered. “That is just great.”

Levian spotted a green bottle in the fridge but before he could say anything, a bus appeared in the headquarters’ parks.

“Come on Lexi.” He sighed. “It won’t be too bad.”

Alexandria nodded and said “But we got none of our stuff and what about Mr. Purrs?”

“Your stuff has been delivered to the school.” Skyler said.

A few months later, Levian run to Alexandria and handed her two light green antidotes.

“The Antidote.” He said. “And I found a cafe in Melbourne that will give us jobs.”

Alexandria nodded and took the antidote.

Two days later, they were off to Melbourne, Vic, Australia. Levian wrapped his hand around Alexandria’s hand who leaned into his shoulder.

“What is this cafe called?” Alexandria asked. “What are our jobs?”

“The cafe is called Riverside Musik Cafe. It is located in the city.” Levian said. “You will be a Barista and I’m a duty manager.”

To be continued.

Second Version

Ramona tapped on the table as she and her friends; Hunter, Zoielle and Nikolas listened to their disability support workers; Shannan and Phillip talk about healthy food.

An idea made her sit up, she nudged Hunter and nodded towards the fire alarm. He sneaked out his phone and managed to hack into the fire alarm, setting it off.

Shannan and Phillip rushed off to the ‘Medical’ group to help them. While the staff were busy, the four sneaked to Zoielle’s Ferrari which had their suitcases and their unlimited credit cards.

Zoielle drove down to the Gold Coast, they went to Pacific Fair and got some things for their trip.

———-

Alexandria grumbled as her mobile started to ring. She tried to ignore it but her Labradoodle placed it on the bed. Mollie, her furbaby nudged it against her hand and barked at her.

Rolling on her side, Alexandria glanced at the clock that said 01:00. She grabbed the phone that flashed work.

“Hi.” She grumbled. Why couldn’t criminals need the team at a more decent time?

“We got a case.” Hotch told her. “Wheels up in 30.”

“Okay.” She gave a yawn. “Where?”

She heard her house mate Levian in the kitchen.

“Need your go bag. It’s in Florida.” Hotch said.

She got dressed and grabbed her go bags.

Walking into the kitchen, Levian handed her a coffee.

“Thanks Lee.” She took it and after drinking it, they headed to Levian’s Toyota Rav 4. They drove to the BAU’s Headquarters and walked into the meeting room where Garcia handed them, their tablets.

“Two teenagers have gone missing in two days.” Garcia said. “We have been called in to find them.”

Hotch looked at Levian and Alexandria, they didnt like the look that he was giving them. He gave them two blue spotted pills.

—–

“What are you doing?! You cant go nuking a potato. Stop it!” Main chef Hunter yelled.

“Well, why is there a microwave?” Phillip complained.

The duty manager Levian looked up from the front of of Southbank’s popular cafe ‘Riverside Choco’ Musique.’

He watched as the offending potato was thrown from the kitchen, it flew and landed in the coffee that Alexandria, the Barista was making.

“Seriously?” Alexandria grumbled as she fished out the potato. Levian laughed as she sighed.

It was the common lunch rush for the cafe. Alexandria stormed to the kitchen with the coffee invading potato.

“Come on, you two.” She complained. “Just get over it already.”

Music started at dinner rush, there was a line as dinner had bookings. Alexandria noticed that a guy with spiked purple hair and red eyes.

Shivers went down her arms as he took a seat at a table near the window.

She watched as the waitress Arabella walked up to him.

“Welcome to Riverside Choco’ Musique Cafe. What may I get you tonight?” Arabella asked.

“I would like a well done steak and a Pespi. Who is your duty manager?” He answered, there was a middle eastern tone in his voice.

“Levian Nightshade. Would like to talk to him?” Arabella asked.

“No. But he might want to get better security.” That was quite strange thing for a customer to say. Arabella went to Levian who saw a look of concern on her face.

“The guy near the window said that you should get better security.” She told him. Alexandria walked to his side as another potato landed in her coffee pot.

“Strange.” Levian frowned.

The cafe has never needed security. The customers were usually quite sastified by the service and food. Every cafe and restaurant had heard about what happen to the Lindt Cafe in Sydney.

But Levian wasnt concern. He had not recieved any threats.

Alexandria turned and saw the potato in the pot.

“Seriously, again.” Levian laughed as Alexandria rolled her eyes.

Arabella went and told the chefs the orders.

There was a loud bang and smoke floated throughout the cafe and everything went black.

When Alexandria woke up, she found herself in a strange room. Looking around, she found mirror and then screamed.

She was 16 years old and worse, she was wearing a pink dress with lace! The horrors! Arabella was laughing and Alexandria said “Look at yourself.”

Arabella looked confused at her and then looked in the mirror. She was 16 years old and was wearing Frozen blue dress.

She scowled and said “Seriously?”

Levian and Hunter woke up. Both were 16 years old. Levian found a letter that was a school acceptance for Brisbane Night Shadows Academy.

“Oh great.” Hunter grumbled. “Just great.”

Six months later

Alexandria, Arabella, Levian and Hunter were listening to their teachers Shannan and Phillip talk about health.

“Ready for the plan?” Levian asked.

“Yes.” Hunter smirked and hacked into the fire alarm, setting it off.

While teachers skittered and the other staff were busy. The four went to Levian’s Ferrari. Each had unlimited credit cards.

They drove to the Gold Coast and into the brand new Dreamworld parking lot.

Alexandria and Levian made a beeline to the ‘Drop of Terror’ and lined up. Arabelle and Hunter walked looking at rides when they saw that Rapids Rivers Ride had reopened. But no one was lined up.

“Lets go on that.” Hunter. “No line.”

“Jeez, I wonder why.” Arabella muttered. “Log Ride.”

She waved her hand at it and he rolled his eyes.

“But no lines!” Hunter pointed out. “But…” Arabella protested.

At the school, Shannan and Phillip noticed that the dorms were quiet. Shannan realized this first and went to investigate.

“Alexandria, Arabella, Hunter and Levian are missing, so is their travelling suitcases.”Shannan said. “How could we lost them?!”

“We?” Phillip asked. “What do you mean by we?!”

“You are supposed to be watching them!” Shannan pointed out.

“Use the tracker systems to find them.” Hunter grumbled crossing his arms and rolled his eyes.

Shannan pulled out his laptop and typed on the laptop, he had coded the tracker system so they would always know that where the students were.

They saw on the screen that they were on the Carnival Legend to Honolulu.

“We must get them back before anyone finds out.” Shannan said when Ellie and Zoielle walked into the room.

Both guys found the tiles extremely interesting, looking at each other. They had no desire to tell these two something had done something wrong.

“Shannan, what is going on?” Ellie asked, the youth-worker knew someone was hiding something.

“Nothing El.” Shannan lied while Zoielle stared at Phillip. Phillip couldn’t lie to Zoielle.

He handed the laptop to Zoielle who tsked at Shannan.

Shannan grumbled as he crossed his arms before Ellie, Gibbs smacked him.

“Looks like you are going to Honolulu.” Ellie said warningly.”And the antidote can be found in Honolulu and we cant let that happen.”

Levian hummed as he looked through a potions shop with Alexandria when they found the four antidotes.

“I want it.” They said in unison but saw the looks on Hunter and Arabella’s face.

“You don’t need to take the antidote.” Levian said.

“Thanks bro.” Hunter said. “Go and join that crime squad you want. And break those bracelets, they are trackers.”

Levian smashed his and Alexandria’s bracelets then took the antidotes.

Two weeks later, Quantico, VA, America

Alexandria and Levian were in the BAU meeting room.

Garcia handed them tablets and said, “The past four weeks, a girl about 7 have gone missing in Chicago.”

“Have anyone found them?” Rossi asked.

“No.” Garcia said. “That is why we were called in.”

Hotch threw keys to Levian, Morgan and JJ. Levian and Alexandria were in one SVU. Chicago was 11 hours away in Illinois.

Alexandria hummed along to ‘Oh no! Not another love story’ by Justin Standley while Levian drove.

The car swayed to the left and Alexandria looked concerned at Levian as he pulled over.

“What’s wrong?” Alexandria asked.

“I….dont….I feel dizzy.” Levian said. “I feel so dizzy. I need you to drive.”

Alexandria got out and helped him to the passenger’s seat, she felt his head for a temperature.

“He is burning up.” She said to JJ who had pulled over and walked up to her, JJ handed her a thermometer from her bag.

“Im fine.” Levian protested. “Im fine.”

Alexandria put it under his arm and said to JJ, “The hospitals are closed for unknown reasons.” When the therometer beeped.

She looked at it which flashed 39c and Levian closed his eyes as Alexandria lowered his chair and handed him a sick bag.

“Thanks Lexi.” He sighed. Alexandria drove to ‘Hyatt Regency Chicago.’

As Alexandria helped Levian into the hotel room, she opened the bedroom to find they have been given a double bed. Levian held onto her and said “Good. Dont like being alone when sick.”

“I know Lee.” She said as he changed into his boxer shorts and lied down. He looked at Alexandria and he said “You are beautiful like the stars.” Alexandria blushed a little as she unpacked and activated her ice pack.

Levian let out a sob as his stomach lurched and threw into a bin. Alexandria rubbed his back when she noticed scars on his wrists. They were old but she realized why he always wore long sleeves. She knew he was in the Dragon War but nothing more.

She moved her fingers over the scars and Levian flinchef.

“I did them.” He admitted. “Not on purpose, was during a flashback. You make me feel safe

Elliana stared at the rain with hatred, why didnt the Brisbane Weather Channel get it right?!

She walked to the Southbank cafe, ‘Breeze Ice Cafe’ where she worked. She walked through the back door and put on her light blue apron.

Her duty manager came out of his office and Elliana noticed that he was quite pale.

“Are you okay, Lee?” Eliana asked. Lucian, (Elliana was the only one to call him, Lee.)

“Yeah, feeling tired.” Lee sighed. “Dinner period will be very busy tonight. Got 30 reservations.”

Elliana felt his head and Lucian scowled at her but he didnt say anything. He knew that he had a fever and he studied her always colour changing eyes.

“Please tell me if you need help with anything?” She prompted.

“You are too good El.” Lucian stroked her light blonde hair.

Elliana went to set up her coffee machine when she noticed that there were more police presence on the street. She shrugged, probably cause it is school holidays.

Soon the rest of the staff recieved and Lucian flipped the sign to open. He looked at the police wandering and said, “Hmm, how strange.”

Soon the Breakfast rush began and ordered started rushing in. Elliana filled coffee orders when she spilled hot water on her hand. Gritting her teeth, she tried not to curse. Since there was small kids were around. A little girl squealed and pointed to an Army truck. But there was something strange, there was electricity spinning around it.

“Something does not seem right.” He muttered in her ear. She nodded when a bolt sent them flying back, two Army guys came into their view before the power blacked out.

Elliana woke up three and four times but it all looked too strange to make sense so she passed out. Whatever that she and Lucian were in, was silver and smelt like very strong metal. The lights, the lights were way too bright.

The next time that Elliana woke up, she was in a room with plain white walls with only a bed. There was a mirror and a letter in the bec. She opened the letter to find it was an acceptance letter to Phoenix Shadow Academy, which was a school for 12 to 24s. Her eyes widened as she looked into the mirror, she was 26 years old.

And she couldnt believe what she was wearing. A long white silk dress with light pink sleeves and faille at the end. The shoes were made out of Zanella.

She wondered where Lucian was, what was he going through. She also wanted to know why she and Lucian were changed into twenty six. Crystal Magicals only gained their powers at twenty six. That was when she noticed that she only had one very small Ruby crystal.

Lucian limped in, his eyes dull and he leaned into Elliana’s arms. Tears fell as he held onto her, his body whacked with his sobs.

“Lee, Lee what happened?” She asked. She managed with great difficulty, transport them to her house in Austin, Texas.

She had antidotes to change them back to their original ages, (29 and 30). Lucian studied her bedroom, once he took the antidote. The walls were a quite lovely blue and the floors was a dark purple carpet.

His stomach flipped and Elliana grabbed a bin, handed to him as he began to throw up his Breakfast Taco.

“They…they…” He shook and Elliana felt his stomach. The radio blared to life. Breaking news: All hospitals are closed to unknown reasons. I repeat all hospitals are closed.

Lucian said “Something isn’t normal.” He reached out and pulled her against him. He stroked her hair and she laid her head against his chest, listening to his heart beat.

“The government.” She said before she helped Lucian into his boxer shorts. He fell asleep but she couldn’t. Fear pounded through her then bang. Lucian woke up and saw that a catcus plant had suffered the blunt.

“El.” He said as he moved her hair out of her face and that was when their lips met. She gave a small smile but he could see that she was scared.

“I’m fine.” She insisted.

“You have worked for me for five years. I know when something is wrong.” Lucian said. “Don’t shut me out. Please. Don’t do that.”

“I do not want to lose you.” Her voice shook as she began to panic. “Lee, I can not lose you. I can not. Oh..”

Lucian knew he had to calm her down and very quick, since he had only seen her have one panic attack and it had made her, very- extremely sick.

“El.” He tried to sooth her, but he knew this would be very hard. “Look at me. I am fine. Shh.”

She gave a shake of her head which meant she was already in a panic attack and tears began to fall down her face.

“Lee…” He could hear the urgency in her voice, this was not good at all. Once she was in the panic attack, getting her out of it was a extremely tough thing to do. “Lee…” she was getting extremely upset.

“You are not going to lose me.” He told her. “Listen to my voice.”

Elliana, all of a sudden jumped up, she wanted to run despite it was not safe outside, she knew there deep inside but in her current state, it was not registaring to her. This is what Lucian knew, he knew that he could not let her run or do anything stupid. If she did do something stupid or go outside, she could get hurt and only Hades knew what the World Government was up to.

In the year 4000, all the governments had been broken up which meant now, there was one huge World Government, which was led by a cruel man who went by the name Mr. Night fall. Night fall had things he only cared about and  those things were and for all things, were guns and destruction of all things good and that also included magic. He wanted the Crystal Magicals species to die out, he believed that magic had no place in a world that he believed should be run only by technology. He hated humans and any other species beside technologicals.

Lucian stood up and pulled Elliana into his arms, he noticed that she smelt like Strawberries and Dragon Berries. Dragon berries had a smell lemons, chocolate and all things precious. He liked that smell. She gave a whimper which he could feel against his skin and he had also noticed that she had run out tears.

This meant that she was getting exhausted and sweat started to drench her hair. He laid her down onto the bed, covering  her up with the blankets and started to rock her in his arms, he hated seeing her like this. In such a weakened state, it was not normal for the strong Barista, that he loved and knew so much.

It broke him to see the fear in her coloured changing eyes, the fear in her normally strong Spanish voices, and he also knew such she was so exhausted, that soon she would most likely would developed a magical headache which was worse then a migraine.

He dimmed the lights of the bedroom, he knew she didn’t like total darkness. He laid her back down so she was against his chest and started to rub her back.

Despite her exhaustion, she gazed up at him and said in a weakened spanish accent, “Lee, you know. You make me feel like home.”

A few months later, two and a half months to be exact went past. By a joint decison and since they knew that the government could not track them since they chose to disabled their magic and break the crystal necklaces that had trackers in it, Elliana and Lucian decided to open up a brand new cafe.

It was a quite sweet and awesome cafe in Texas, Austin, USA. The walls were lined with light brown paint and all things country and western, that included pictures of country music stars and actors and actresses. Lyrics of songs from singers like Keith Urban and Tim Mcgraw. Movie lines from “Your Love never fails me.” and TV Show lines like “Texas Ranger.”

The floor was Red Pine Timber and for sure smelt like it as well. Lucian enjoyed that smell alot.

The name of the cafe was “Bulls and Horses cafe.”, two of his favourite animals. He loved the country and western theme of stuff. The style of rodeo life and the music that came from it all. Lucian came in one day and looked at Elliana who was staring at the brand new coffee machine, it was all fancy and stuff. But she wasn’t excited, she just walked off to their new cafe. He knew she hated being powerless but never said anything.

She sat down on the floor, leaning against the wall. She was so tired of this and hiding out. Her mind was going a million miles an hour with all sorts of thoughts that at the time, she could not tell Lucian. She glanced up as Lucian walked into the office and he knelt down next  to her. He wanted to help her so badly but he didn’t know how to. She wouldn’t talk, at times, at all.

In a soft, gentle whisper. He asked her “I know you miss your powers, please talk to me already.”

“You know that I can’t do that Lucian. I can not explain my thoughts to you at this time. I wish I could but please just wait.” She sighed when she noticed he went pale and threw up everywhere. She noticed that he was sweating heaps and checked his forehead to find that he was burning up.

“I feel…” Lucian groaned and she helped him into the bathroom. She helped him changed into some clean clothes and he blinked at her tiredly.

“Yes I miss my powers. But I know one day, we will get them back. Lee. I know that.” She said before she grabbed a thermometer and checked his temperature, the Dragon flu was going around the place, his fever was low at least.

In the kitchen

“Wow! Stop, you can’t go nuking the potatoes.” The outrage cry came from the main chef Kieran, he was waving his hand at Mitch, a junior chef, who rolled his eyes in reply.

Mitch pointed to the microwave that was sitting near the oven.

“There is a microwave for a reason!” Mitch began to complain before he carried the two potatoes to the microwave but Kieran grabbed them off him.

“Use the oven, like a normal person!” Kieran demanded but then Mitch made a grab for them, which made Kieran lose his grip on them and the potatoes went flying to the main chocolate display stand at the front of the cafe.

Anabel, one of the waitresses let out a frustrated groan as the display stand swayed and wiggled back and forth as the potatoes collided with them.

“Kieran-” Anabel yelled, there was fear in her voice, not anger. “Quick!” she was interrupted and Kieran turned around to face the front of the cafe, as an army truck came into the cafe at full speed. This was not good news.

Elliana heard the bang and she grabbed Lucian’s hand, she tried to transport them both but she couldn’t. Lucian said “They can’t make us teenagers again.” there was something specialized in her antidotes.

Elliana however looked unsure, Lucian was right but it scared her that the World Government were at the government.

“El. Please run out of the back door!” Lucian begged with her. “You will find a hidden door in the underpass just below the riverside steps.”

He was texting someone on their phone.

“I can’t leave you!” Elliana cried in protest, she shivered which must been the government doings.

“Yes. You can. The door goes to a whole new world. Which isn’t under the World Authority Government.” He paused to kiss her. “I will see you soon, My Moon.”

Tears rolled down Elliana’s face but she run off, she turned invisible and soon found the door. Not once, she turned around but she could hear Lucian’s cries behind her. It pierced her heart like crazy but she had to keep going.

She found the door and reached for the door handle. It was shining gold and she opened it, and as she stepped through, there was an rainbow light that surrounded her.

Her mind spun as she was thrown around the place before she landed in a soft bed, which was made out of feathers, pink feathers. She studied them wondering what feathers that they were and then she looked around, that was when she realized that it was a hospital bed.

She looked over at the door as an older woman with grey hair and ice blue eyes walked in and up to her bed. She handed Elliana, a metal badge with her name and a silver paw print on it. It felt quite heavy.

“I promised my older brother Lucian to make you a Special Agent in my crime squad: Leopard Wings Crime Squad.” She told Elliana. “I am Thalia, the leader of the squad. I will with the help of the squad to find Lucian.”

Tears started to fall down Elliana’s face without her permission and she looked down as she whispered “I should have stayed with him. I know.”

“You couldn’t.” Elliana looked at Thalia as she said this. “It wasn’t your fate to stay with him. It is hard to turn away. But there is times that one must.”

“They will hurt him. Very badly.” Elliana began to shake with fear. Everything was just too much.

“And you will help him recover.” Thalia reassured him.

“Where am I?” Elliana asked looking around again then she winced at the pain in her arm. It was wrapped in an bandage.

“Leopard Wings Crime Squad Hospital.” Thalia replied. “In our headquarters. We have our headquarters in an abandoned shopping centre. This city is Space Castle City.”

Thalia handed her a ruffle bag from Roxy which was purple and blue.

“This is your welcome pack.” Thalia told her with a smile. And then she handed Elliana, a pair of keys to her. Different coded keys. “Your house, and car keys. Also other important keys like your headquarters office and more.”

That night, Elliana was discharged and she headed to her house which was really a dorm room on one level of the headquarters. Yes she had one level to herself, plus it was one of the upper levels so she could get a  nice view of the city.

There was one huge bedroom which took up a shop that looked like a size of an old Borders store. A ensuite bathroom which had a size similar to BlockBuster, she chose to check that out tomorrow- she was so exhausted.

Her office was the size of a Woolworths, it was total huge and was finger print coded. Safety, this whole place was all about safety. To get to her home, she had to go through three security gates to make sure it was her or one of her four safety people.

She walked into her bedroom and was impressed. Her bedroom had a king size bed in the right north corner and it seemed like Thalia knew her tastes. The bed had a white donna with green leaf designs and a green winter blanket.

There was a desk on the left north corner, looked like a timber that she didn’t recognized. A nice smooth light silver but she was sure it must have come from some sort of tree. There was a computer on it, it was a brand that she had never heard of and wow it was floating. And more the keyboard and mouse was solid gold.

Elliana went and laid on her bed, it was so soft. Made from the same feathers that her hospital bed was made from but there was a soft lilac fragrance wafting from it. She looked around and noticed a Television that was levitating from a good watching spot. Then she noticed there was a fridge in the West side of the room.

She walked over and noticed that it had options for all sorts of food, the common fast food places, healthy food places and places that she had never heard of.

Letting out a yawn, she walked back to her bed and placed down her Ruffle bag. She changed into Amethyst purple pajamas and they were just so soft. She glanced of the window near her bedroom and she couldn’t help but wonder what Lucian was going through.

Her eyes widened as a dragon flew past the window. A huge black and silver dragon with a wing span about a Eagle’s. What type of world was this?

2 months later, back in the normal earth world.

Lucian sobbed in the dark dungeon that he was being held in, there was strange sticky stuff on the walls, could be blood. Smelt horrible and made his stomach turn all over the place. His powers had been disabled.

He hurt so much. Every part of his body especially his back, his back was the worse. He had had back surgeries, four in total and haven’t fully healed yet. It was like a wild fire going up and down his back. It made his head buzz.

Then he vomitted where he was lying on, it was concrete but spikey, it was scratching his bare naked body. There was black spots danced in front of his ice blue eyes. Blood began to drip down from his mouth, he slowly lifted his head when he heard loud air sirens and then the dungeon door opened up.

He looked in relief when two guys in Leopard Wings Armour stepped in, they helped him onto a stretcher and then transported him to the head quarters.

Back in Space Castle City

Elliana was in her office working on some paperwork and she glanced up as the intercom exploded into life. It would shake the headquarters due to how loud the intercom was.

“Elliana to the hospital. Elliana to the hospital.” Even in a place run by magic, it was close to near impossible to understand.

She was wearing a beautiful silver metal armour shirt with dark blue metal pants and dark silver armour shoes. She had a lavender coloured bracelet that supplied her magic and showed what she was feeling in sense of emotions and health.

She walked to the hospital level and as she walked, she seemed to half float, half walk from the floor. Powers mist floated around hers and in somewhat seemed like that she was shining.

“El.” Lucian tried to get off his bed but Elliana rushed over, pulled him gently into his arms and held her very close.

Lucian was starting to get really shakey again, this lead to him burying his head into Elliana’s shoulder and breathing in her new smell of Dragon Berries and River water. He was going quite pale and this meant he was starting to get used to the magical healing powers.

“I have you Lee.” Elliana started to reassure him gently. “I have you hun.”

She noticed that Lucian was trying to get comfortable in her arms but couldn’t so Elliana got permission to take him to her bedroom to heal. She laid him down onto her bed and he started to relax.

“How are you El?” He asked studying her and then at her bracelet. He sat up slowly and felt her head which was a bit warm. She took a deep breathe, there was a part of her that didn’t want to tell him how she felt.

“I am fine.” Elliana lied despite she knew very well that she couldn’t lie to him, this got her, Lucian giving her, his strict duty manager gaze. Like when she used to eat all the chocolates in the cafe before they had even open.

“Please don’t treat me like a child.” Lucian ordered her, tilting his head and laid back down. “Please don’t treat me like a child.” This was more like a plead for her.

Elliana looked at the blankets for a few minutes before she said “I nearly lost you Lee. It was terrifying. I nearly lost you.” She began to rub at her temples which meant she was getting a migraine most likely. Lucian frowned and asked “Are you getting a migraine?”

“Yeah.” She admitted to him and he pulled her into his arms, he really wanted to take care of her.

They fell asleep in each other’s arms.

Eliana was pissed off because everyone in the headquarters were paying so much attentions to the new agent Emilie, especially Lucian.

December 11th 2162

Arabelle was curled on her side, asleep when her alarm clock on her phone began to ring. She let out a tired groan as she opened her green eyes. Six thirty was way too early to get up.

As she went to hit the snooze button, she felt her Ragdoll Cat Meowster pawing at her face and meowing for his breakfast.

“Okay.” She gave out another yawn before she got up from her comfortable bed.

She headed into her kitchen with Meowster weaving around her legs, meowing like she was dying from salvation.

After Arabelle put ‘Whiskas’ seafood wet food into Meowster’s easy clean dish and put it down on his blue mat, Arabelle went back to her bedroom and got changed out of her velvet purple pajamas into her ‘Chocolate Riverfall Cafe’ uniform.

It was a light green shirt, black denim pants, black shoes and a light brown apron with silver writing.

Arabelle was a Barista for the cafe and had to be at the cafe, an hour and half before it opened so she could make sure that the coffee counter was prepared. The coffee machine could be quite temperatural.

She grabbed her work card that hang on a necklace and slipped it around her neck. Arabelle grabbed her keys to her dark blue Holden Maloo ute and drove to the cafe which was located in Brisbane CBD near King George Square.

It was one of the most popular cafes alongside the business people especially nearby lawyers and courts.

Arabelle went through the back door, as she walked up to the front, she saw that her mate Kieran was setting up new display stands. Her duty manager Phillip was arguing with someone in his office, on his phone.

“Hey Ara.” Kieran flashed her a smile. They had started at the cafe at the same time. And they were the youngest employees.

Arabelle was 23 years old and Kieran was 24 years old. Arabelle strolled over to Kieran and saw that some new products had came in.

Phillip slammed down the phone and walked out of his office. He was rubbing his face and temples.

“What is wrong?” Kieran asked as he looked over from trying to arrange some chocolates into a pyramid.

Phillip just gave a sigh and didn’t answer the question.

“Come on P, you can tell us.” Arabelle tried to prompt him and then gave him a look of concern.

“It is nothing Belle. Manager stuff.” Phillip answered slowly despite he hated having to lie to his staff members.

Arabelle studied his body language, his shoulders were slumped and he looked completely exhausted. There were dark rings under his dark blue eyes.

“P…” She was interrupted by a look of annoyance that crossed his face. She stopped not wanting to push the subject but it was way too late.

“Do your job Arabelle.” He snapped at her. Kieran looked at Arabelle, his green eyes widened in surprise and hurt shot through Arabelle’s face. Arabelle stepped towards Kieran away from Phillip.

Phillip never snapped at her or anyone, even when Kieran and Arabelle had overdone it on the coffee and was all hyper.

“Yes sir.” Arabelle managed as she gazed at the ground. Phillip went to his office in silence. Sir…he hated being called that word and the look. Oh Zeus, the look on Arabelle’s face, that made his heart ached with guilt.

Kieran and Arabelle walked over to the coffee counter, and Kieran put an arm around her trying to comfort her. Phillip knew something bad was coming, and this made him want to protect those two out there but he couldn’t.

Arabelle and Kieran, in his eyes, were still kids. He watched them silently while praying to the sky. ‘Zeus, please help them through what is to come.’

Soon dinner rush had come, the Brisbane was warm with no clouds and a lot of customers chose to eat outside. Kieran and Arabelle sway to the music in unison as they worked and Arabelle sang happily to the live band.

Phillip heard yelling from the main kitchen and he went to see what Keith and Paul were arguing about. Most likely the argument was about microwaving certain foods.

“Stop putting things in the microwave.” Keith, the main chef was complaining. “That is just laziness. Use the oven.”

“I don’t see the difference between the microwave and oven.” Paul protested.

“Nuking sausages is stupid.” Keith crossed his arms in frustration.

They stopped arguing as Phillip entered the kitchen.

“Keith, Paul.” His voice sounded like he was grieving something. “Please protect the rest of the staff.” unusual request from their duty manager.

“What is going to happen? How can we protect the rest of the staff if we don’t know what is going to happen?” Keith demanded, shivers went down his spine.

“I can’t tell you what is going to happen.” Phillip sighed.

Kieran and Arabelle listened without saying anything from the storage room which was next to the kitchen.

“Strange.” Kieran whispered to Arabelle. “We can protect everyone with our powers from whatever danger that Phillip is talking about.”

“Only if someone is injured first however. Stupid magic advantages.” Arabelle grumbled in reply and touched her bracelet which supplied her magic.

They waited until Phillip left the kitchen and heard his car start up which meant he was going home. At the end of night, Kieran and Arabelle locked up the cafe. As they walked out, and onto the riverside walkway, Kieran and Arabelle stared at the cafe.

They wished that they knew or could learn what was going to happen. But no matter what it was, they knew that they would have to reveal their magic secrets to protect their friends.

December 12th 2162

Arabelle sat in the storage room, she and Kieran were sorting out new deliveries. Arabelle had arrived early,  before Phillip arrived; bought in the deliveries and been avoiding Phillip since. She didn’t know what mood he was in and she had asked Zoe to take over the Barista duties.

She pulled out some new coffee from a cardboard box and Kieran laughed as she studied the different types, there was a look of critical on her face as she glanced at a purple box of quite cheap coffee.

Arabelle was quite fussy about the different drinks that she made for the customers, but especially coffee and hot chocolates. Cheap stuff was not acceptable in her eyes.

They turned around as the storage room door opened and two guys had Phillip handcuffed as they forced him inside the storage room. Blood was dripping down his chest and his shirt was torn and his back, oh man his back.

Kieran flinched as one of the guys kicked him down onto the concrete floor of the storage room. Silence was deafening as both Kieran and Arabelle realized what was going on.

Arabelle stood up and Phillip wanted to scream for her and Kieran to run and get out of the cafe but everything hurt too much for him to even look up at them. He shut his eyes tight as one of the guys kicked him in the stomach which made him cry out of pain.

Arabelle and Kieran hit their bracelets as fast as cricketers hitting a ball, as they did this, a combination of ice and fire shot out of their hands, the two powers collided together and send the guys flying out of cafes, into a nearby lava pool.

Kieran caught Arabelle who had used up tons of her magical powers, she hardly used ice magic due to the high energy usage. He called Paul and Keith who came running and they rushed to Phillip’s side. Keith checked his injuries before with the help of Paul, picked him up and took him to the sick bay.

Kieran helped Arabelle to the break room where he laid her down into the over night bed. She fall asleep and curled into a ball.

Two hours later, Arabelle woke up and she found Phillip sitting on the table, watching over her.

He was shaking and there tears in his ice blue eyes and his body shook.

“I am sorry Belle. I am sorry.” His voice shook as much as his body did.

“What are you sorry about? Pip, it was not your fault.” She sat up but doing so made her head spun from lack of energy.

Phillip rushed forward, he sat down and pulled her into his arms close. Kieran had collapsed outside in front of the counters after he had gotten Arabelle to the break room. He had taken a deep breathe and then poofed, fire surrounded him and he disappeared.

That was when a new star appeared in the night sky which meant one thing, Kieran had died. How could Phillip tell Arabelle this? She and Kieran were best mates. Arabelle saw the look on Phillip’s face and in her heart, she knew what had happened. Kieran shouldn’t have used his power.

“Kieran is with the stars isn’t he?” Arabelle asked in a whisper and tears sting her eyes. “Hope he is at peace now.” Kieran was not happy with his life, Arabelle knew that despite he had never said a word.

“He is with the stars and I am sure he will be at peace now, Belle.” Phillip reassured her before gritting his teeth due to the pain he was in, his stomach started to cramp and knot.

Arabelle saw how pale his face was going and she called for a sick bowl which appeared in her hand, she gave it to Phillip.

Phillip winced at the stabbing stomach pain that was shooting through him. Despite the healer Hunter’s healing, there was some things that would still take a while to heal. He felt his stomach cramp before he began to throw up into the bowl.

Arabelle transported him to her house and laid him on her couch in her living room. Phillip sunk into the soft cushions and he noticed how nice the house looked.

“Wow fancy.” Phillip muttered tiredly.

“I am getting you some pain relief Pip.” Arabelle told him as she went to her medical cabinet in the kitchen but Phillip gave a shake of his head. He sat up slowly and leaned against the couch, looking at her.

Arabelle looked confused as she went and sat next to him so he could lean into her arms.

“My stomach can’t tolerate pain relief, any pain relief including Panadol.” Phillip explained to her and he brushed her hair from her face. She had amazing eyes, like the green leafs on maple trees.

But Phillip was concerned that she had not shown much emotion about Kieran’s death, losing a friend is tough but she had not cry, she had just jumped to Phillip’s aid. Was she in denial? Phillip knew he had to be there for her if she was.

Arabelle called for Phillip’s overnight bag which appeared in her hand and she gave it to Phillip.

Phillip swallowed hard as his stomach started to cramp again and swirl in pain nausea. Luckily Arabelle knew the signs and managed to get him to her bathroom before he began to throw up into her toilet.

Arabelle heard a loud smashing sound from her front door and Meowster flew into the bathroom as a tank stopped at the living room.

Keith and Paul run in, handing both Phillip and Arabelle, two large ruffle packs as well as a cat cage. Keith said in between gasps “Go to a door in the underpass. Take the cat and just go. The door leads to a new country where you will have new jobs. You should be safe.”

Arabelle grabbed Phillip’s shoulder as he placed Meowster into the cage and held him as Arabelle transported them to the underpass. Luckily they found the door easily because it appeared in silver as they got close to it.

“Okay.” Phillip whispered, he didn’t look back to the house or cafe. He didn’t want to see what was left of them. He took Arabelle’s hand and squeezed it before she opened the door and they stepped through.

A bright light swirled around them and then disappeared. They stood in front of a beautiful house. Well house is an understatement, it was more like a resort! Two pairs of keys appeared in Arabelle’s hand and she moved closer to Phillip.
